Super-agent Jorge Mendes helping AC Milan to sign last target

AC Milan have received the help of super agent Jorge Mendes in their pursuit of Porto striker Mehdi Taremi.

The summer transfer window for Italian clubs ends on Friday evening. It looks like the AC Milan supporters are preparing to experience old emotions, in the finale of the most eventful summer mercato in recent years for the Rossoneri. Milan have signed 9 players but are planning one last important transfer like in the times of Adriano Galliani, who expertly knew how to carry out the most important moves at the very end of the mercato window.

The icing on cake for AC Milan should be Mehdi Taremi. The Rossoneri are doing everything in their power to sign the 31-year-old Porto centre forward. Furlani and Moncada, Taremi’s agent Daria, and the Porto management are trying to find an agreement. Portuguese super agent Jorge Mendes has also joined the negotiation.

Jorge Mendes is working as an intermediary on AC Milan’s behalf to arrange an agreement between the two clubs. The Portuguese agent is negotiating with Porto to convince them to lower their asking price. Porto so far have been adamant on their asking price of over 20 million euros.

AC Milan are reportedly preparing an improved and final bid that should be around €18 million. Jorge Mendes has done a very useful job trying to bring both clubs closer. The last detail that could seal the transfer of Mehdi Taremi to AC Milan may be the player’s will to resign of the 15% transfer fee that he should pocked according to his contract with Porto.

Mehdi Taremi has already agreed personal terms with AC Milan on a three-year contract of €3 million plus bonuses. Coach Stefano Pioli is also pushing to have Taremi under his orders. The Irain international has been a prolific goal scorer in his three seasons with Porto scoring 80 goals and providing 49 assists in 147 appearances with the Portuguese club.
